"In a utilitarian age, of all other times, it is a matter of grave importance that fairy tales should be respected." —Charles Dickens

(Final form of my Fairy Tale Dystopia series. Monsters don’t go away, they only assume new forms as the world develops, and maybe we do need some echoes of the old stories to orient ourselves in an increasingly automated environment. The world may be full of uncertainty, but fairy tales remind us  that even in the face of ominous forces beyond our control, we can be responsible in the way we react to them.)
